United Arab Emirates · Websites and e-commerce

Website development in the UAE, with sites your customers can read in Arabic and English

We build company websites and online stores that work equally well in both languages and take payments in dirhams. The team is based in Pakistan, one hour ahead of the UAE.

In short

Website development: UAE

Website development in the UAE is usually bilingual from the start: an English site and an Arabic site that share the same structure, content and search setup, with Arabic shown right to left. Digihub designs and builds these as corporate websites, landing pages and e-commerce stores using WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Odoo Website or custom code. We set up AED checkout through payment gateways that serve the UAE, consent for personal data, and page speed suited to mobile visitors.

Local context

What a UAE website has to handle

Visitors in the Emirates are multilingual, mobile-heavy and used to paying online, which shapes the build.

01

Real right-to-left Arabic

An Arabic page is more than translated text. Navigation, icons, forms and tables need to mirror correctly, and Arabic fonts must stay readable at small sizes on phones.

02

Separate URLs per language

Each language gets its own address and hreflang tags, so Google can show the Arabic page to Arabic searchers and the English page to everyone else.

03

Payments in AED

Online stores in the UAE need checkout in dirhams through a gateway that supports local cards and, often, wallets such as Apple Pay. We integrate the gateway your bank or provider supports.

04

Personal data and consent

Contact forms, newsletters and analytics collect personal data covered by the UAE PDPL. We add clear notices and consent options, and you confirm the wording with your legal adviser.

05

VAT on online sales

Prices shown to customers, tax invoices and order emails should reflect 5% VAT correctly. Stores connected to Odoo can pass orders straight into accounting.

Working together

How a remote web build works with a UAE team

Websites are reviewed in the browser, so remote delivery feels much the same as working with a local studio.

Staging site from the start

You review designs and pages on a private staging link in both languages and leave comments directly on each page.

Content in two languages

We agree early who writes and checks the Arabic content. We can prepare structure and English copy, and your team or translator approves Arabic text.

Same-week feedback

With a one-hour time difference and the same working days, review rounds fit inside your normal week.

Process

How a project runs

  3. Build

  4. Content and testing

FAQ

Questions we hear most

Do we need separate Arabic and English websites?

Usually one website with two language versions is best. Each page has an Arabic and an English URL linked to each other, which keeps management simple and helps search engines show the right language.

Which payment gateways can you integrate for AED?

We integrate gateways that support AED and UAE cards, such as those offered by Stripe, Checkout.com, Telr or your bank, depending on which one approves your business. The choice of gateway and its fees are agreed directly between you and the provider.

Can you write the Arabic content?

We can structure the pages and prepare English copy. Arabic text should come from your team or a translator you choose, and a native speaker should approve it before launch.

Can our website connect to Odoo?

Yes. Odoo Website can run the site directly, or a WordPress or Shopify store can send orders and contacts into Odoo through an integration, so stock and invoices stay in one place.

Who owns the website after launch?

You do. You receive admin access, hosting details and any custom code, and the domain should always be registered in your company's name.
