Website development in the UK for sites your customers find quick, clear and trustworthy

We design and build company websites and online shops for British audiences, from cookie banners to checkout. Our developers work remotely from Pakistan and review progress with you during the UK day.

In short

Website development: United Kingdom

Website development in the UK with Digihub covers the design, build and launch of business websites and online shops aimed at British customers. That includes a consent banner that actually blocks tracking until a visitor agrees, card payments in pounds through providers such as Stripe or PayPal, and product prices shown with VAT the way UK shoppers expect. We build on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom framework depending on what your team will maintain. All design and development is carried out remotely from Pakistan.

Local context

UK rules and habits a website must respect

A site that works well in Britain gets a few specific details right.

01

Cookie consent

Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, non-essential cookies such as analytics and advertising need consent first. We configure the banner and tags so that consent is real, not decorative.

02

Payments in pounds sterling

British shoppers expect to pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay in GBP. Stripe, PayPal and similar gateways cover this, and we set up refunds and receipts to match.

03

Prices and VAT

Consumer-facing UK shops normally display prices including VAT, while trade sites may show them excluding it. We configure the shop for whichever audience you sell to.

04

Accessibility

Clear contrast, keyboard navigation and descriptive alt text make a site usable for more visitors, and public-sector bodies have specific accessibility duties. We build to recognised accessibility guidelines as standard.

05

Delivery and returns

UK online shops need delivery options from Royal Mail or couriers, clear returns information and order emails that reflect British consumer expectations.

Working together

How a website gets built from Pakistan

Website projects suit remote delivery because almost every step can be shared on a link.

Designs reviewed online

Page designs are shared as clickable mock-ups, and you leave comments directly on them at any hour that suits you.

A staging site from early on

The site is built on a private test address you can visit throughout, so there are no surprises on launch day.

Launch timed for your quiet hours

Because Pakistan is ahead of the UK, a go-live can be prepared in the early British morning before most of your customers are online.

Process

How a project runs

  1. Brief and sitemap

Agree audiences, pages, features and the content each page needs.

  3. Build and content entry

  4. Checks before launch

Consent, payments, forms, speed, mobile layouts and redirects tested end to end.

  5. Go-live and training

FAQ

Questions we hear most

Do we need a cookie banner on our UK website?

If your site uses analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, you generally need consent before setting them under UK GDPR and PECR. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent. We set the banner up so tags only fire after a visitor agrees.

Which payment provider should a UK shop use?

Stripe and PayPal are common choices for UK online shops because they handle cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay in pounds sterling. Shopify also offers its own payments. The right one depends on your platform, fees and the way you handle refunds.

Should we use WordPress or Shopify?

Shopify suits businesses whose website is mainly a shop and who want hosting and security handled for them. WordPress with WooCommerce gives more control over content and layout. We recommend one after hearing how your team will run the site day to day.

Will you write the content for our pages?

We can draft service and product copy in British English from information you give us, which you then review and approve. Many clients supply their own text and ask us to edit it for the web.

Can you keep our Google rankings when we move to a new site?

We plan redirects from every old URL to its new equivalent and check them before launch, which protects most existing visibility. Some movement in rankings after a migration is normal and usually settles.
