Workflows outgrowing spreadsheets
Shared sheets break once several people edit them at once, and there is no record of who changed what.
Custom Software · Web Applications
We build browser-based applications that people log into and work in every day (customer portals, operations dashboards, booking flows and internal tools), with fast interfaces and backends that are easy to maintain.
Web application development services cover the design and build of interactive software that runs in a browser, where users sign in, enter data, collaborate and get work done. Unlike a marketing website, a web application has user accounts, business logic, a database and often integrations with other systems. Because it runs in the browser, it works across desktops, tablets and phones without installing anything.
Many businesses run important workflows on shared spreadsheets, email threads and form tools that were never meant to carry that load. Data gets overwritten, nobody knows which version is current, and customers have to phone in for information that could be self-serve. A well-built web application replaces that patchwork with one place to work, but only if the interface is fast, the data model is right and the code can be changed safely later.
Shared sheets break once several people edit them at once, and there is no record of who changed what.
Internal tools built without attention to usability get avoided, and the old manual process quietly continues.
Applications built quickly without tests or structure become expensive to change, so improvements stop.
Field staff and customers increasingly use phones, but many business apps only work properly on a desktop screen.
User roles, key journeys, wireframes and interface design, validated with the people who will use the application daily.
Responsive interfaces in React and Next.js with accessible components, form validation and fast navigation.
Business logic, data modeling and a documented API in Node.js, Python or PHP, backed by PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Secure sign-in, role-based access and per-record permissions so each user sees exactly what they should.
Connections to payment gateways, email and SMS, accounting software, ERP or any system with an API.
Hosting setup, automated deployments, monitoring and a roadmap for improvements after launch.
Users open a browser and sign in, so rollout and updates reach everyone at once.
Data lives in one database with history, instead of copies in inboxes and spreadsheets.
Screens and rules match how your team actually works rather than forcing a generic tool's model.
A clean API and tested code mean new features and integrations can be added without starting over.
Customers view orders, invoices, documents or service status and raise requests without calling your office.
Live views of jobs, stock, deliveries or tickets, with the actions needed to move work forward from the same screen.
Purpose-built apps for quoting, scheduling, inspections or case management that replace spreadsheets and email.
Public-facing forms and booking journeys connected directly to the back-office system that fulfills them.
You can log into a working version early and keep testing it as features arrive.
Interviews with users and stakeholders, current process review and a prioritized list of requirements.
Wireframes, then visual design for the key screens, reviewed before development starts.
Rendering approach, data model, API design and hosting choices written down and agreed.
Features delivered in short cycles to a staging environment you can log into and test.
Automated tests for core logic, cross-browser and device checks, and user acceptance testing.
Production deployment, data import if needed, and user onboarding.
Monitoring, bug fixes and new features prioritized from real usage.
| Criterion | Website | Web application | SaaS product |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Inform and convert visitors | Let users do work | Sell software to many organizations |
| User accounts | Rarely | Yes | Yes, grouped by customer tenant |
| Business logic & database | Minimal | Central | Central, multi-tenant |
| Billing built in | No | Usually not | Yes, subscriptions and plans |
| Typical owner | Marketing | Operations or product team | Founder or product company |
Input validation, output encoding, CSRF protection and parameterized queries to guard against injection and cross-site scripting.
Hashed passwords, session management, optional multi-factor authentication and rate limiting on sign-in.
Every API request is checked against the user's role and the record's ownership, not just hidden in the interface.
Caching, pagination, database indexing and background jobs so the app stays responsive as data grows.
The same team handles UX and code, so usability decisions are not lost between a design file and the build.
We explain why we recommend a framework or rendering approach for your case, including when a simpler option is better.
Code review, automated tests and documentation are part of the build, not optional extras.
We can later turn the app into a multi-tenant product or add a mobile app on the same API.
Fixed-price packages with the scope written down, paid stage by stage. Your project goes live once it's fully paid.

A website mainly presents information, while a web application lets signed-in users create, change and act on data. Web applications have user accounts, business rules, a database and often integrations, which makes them closer to software than to a brochure.
For most projects we use React or Next.js on the frontend with a Node.js or Python backend and PostgreSQL. We choose based on your requirements, existing systems and the skills of whoever will maintain the app, and we explain the reasoning.
Cost is driven by the number of user roles and screens, the complexity of business rules, integrations, data migration and design depth. Our fixed packages are $8,500 for an MVP web app and $14,000 for a business system, and a $1,200 discovery sprint, credited to the build, sets the exact scope and price. We can also split the work into phases so the first release is smaller.
Yes. We build responsive interfaces that adapt to phone and tablet screens, and can add progressive web app features so users can install it on their home screen. If you need deep device features or offline-first behavior, a native or Flutter app may be the better choice.
You do. Once the project is paid in full, the source code is delivered to your repository and ownership transfers to you. The application runs on hosting in your name or under your control, and the database belongs to you.
Often, yes. We review the codebase and architecture first, then recommend whether incremental improvement, partial rebuild or full replacement gives you the best result for the effort.
