Custom software development in the UK, with a clear scope and code ownership agreed up front

When a SaaS subscription covers 70% of what you do and spreadsheets cover the rest, a bespoke tool can close the gap. We design and build it remotely from Pakistan, and the code is yours.

In short

Bespoke software: United Kingdom

Custom software development in the UK usually means a system built around one specific way of working: a customer portal, a job or booking tracker, a pricing engine, or the glue between tools you already pay for. In Britain this is often called bespoke software, and the main questions buyers raise are about scope, communication and who owns the result. We answer those in writing before development starts. Our team works from Peshawar, Pakistan, and overlaps with the British working day for calls and reviews.

Local context

What UK buyers of bespoke software look for

British companies commissioning software offshore tend to ask the same sensible questions. Here is how we answer them.

01

Intellectual property

The contract should state that the client owns the source code and can take it to another supplier. We agree ownership and repository access in writing before work starts.

02

Integration with UK business tools

Bespoke systems rarely stand alone. Common links we are asked about include Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe and GoCardless, connected through their published APIs.

03

Personal data in the design

If the system stores customer or staff details, UK GDPR shapes the design: what is collected, how long it is kept, who can view it and how a subject access request is answered.

04

Hosting location

Some UK organisations prefer data hosted in a UK or European cloud region. We can deploy to the region you choose with major cloud providers.

What we deliver

Bespoke software

01

Customer and supplier portals

Secure areas where clients track orders, download documents or raise requests without emailing your office.

02

Job, booking and field tools

Scheduling, job sheets and status updates for trades, service companies and agencies that have outgrown a whiteboard.

03

Integrations between systems

Automatic sync between your accounting package, online shop, CRM and spreadsheets, so data is entered once.

04

Internal business applications

Quoting tools, approval workflows and reporting dashboards built around your rules rather than a vendor's template.

05

Modernising older systems

Replacing an ageing Access database or in-house tool with a supported web application, migrating the data carefully.

Working together

Building bespoke software at a distance

A remote build succeeds when the client can see the product growing week by week.

Demos you can click

Every stage ends with a working version on a test link, demonstrated on a video call during your morning and left for your team to try.

Questions answered in writing

Open questions sit in a shared list with an owner on each, so your decisions are recorded and our developers are never guessing.

Lower cost, same standards

Working from Pakistan keeps our costs below many UK agencies, without cutting testing, documentation or code review.

Handover you can use

At the end you receive the source code, deployment notes and admin accounts, so another developer could pick it up if you ever needed one.

Process

How a project runs

  1. Problem definition

We learn what is going wrong today, who uses the current workaround and what a better day looks like for them.

  2. Specification and estimate

User stories, screens and integrations written up with an estimate, and anything uncertain flagged as such.

  3. Iterative build

Short cycles with a demo at the end of each, so you can change direction early and cheaply.

  4. Testing and data migration

Your users test with realistic data while we move records over from the old tools.

  5. Launch and support

Deployment to your chosen hosting, training for staff and an agreed support plan afterwards.

FAQ

Questions we hear most

Will we own the source code?

That is agreed in the contract, in writing, before work starts, and it should say that the code written for you belongs to your company, with repository access throughout. Any third-party libraries keep their own open-source licences, which we list for you.

Is it cheaper to build bespoke software offshore?

Usually, yes, because labour costs in Pakistan are lower than in the UK. The saving only holds if scope and communication are well managed, which is why we invest heavily in written specifications and regular demos.

Can you connect our software to Xero or Sage?

Yes, where the package has a public API, which Xero and current Sage cloud products do. We check the specific endpoints and limits for your plan during specification.

Where will our data be hosted?

Wherever you decide. We can deploy to UK or European cloud regions if that suits your data protection approach, or to your existing hosting account.

What happens if we want changes after launch?

We agree a support arrangement for fixes and small changes, and larger additions are scoped and quoted like a new stage. Once ownership of the code is yours under the contract, you are also free to use another developer.

Next step

Describe the system you need

A paragraph about the problem, who would use the software and what tools it must connect to is enough to start. We will come back with questions and a suggested next step.
