Requirements no standard app covers
Your process is specific to your industry or your business model, and no app on the Odoo Apps Store fits it closely enough.
Odoo ERP · Development
Our developers work inside the Odoo framework: its ORM, its view system, its OWL frontend and its PostgreSQL database. That is how new functionality ends up feeling like part of Odoo instead of a bolt-on.
Odoo development services provide software engineering on the Odoo framework to build functionality that the standard apps do not include, such as new business applications, customer and vendor portals, specialized reports, background jobs and interactive frontend components. Odoo is written in Python with XML views, an OWL JavaScript frontend and a PostgreSQL database, and development means working with all of those layers. It goes further than customization, which only adjusts behavior that already exists.
Some requirements are simply outside what any ERP ships with: a rental contract engine, a lab sample tracker, a dealer portal with tiered pricing, or a production planning screen built around your floor layout. Buying a separate tool for each one fragments your data again. Building it inside Odoo keeps everything on the same customers, products and accounts, but only if the developers understand the framework well enough to build with it rather than around it.
Your process is specific to your industry or your business model, and no app on the Odoo Apps Store fits it closely enough.
Raw SQL where the ORM should be used, business logic in controllers, and JavaScript patched into templates make systems slow and fragile.
Custom pages built outside Odoo's web client look different, ignore access rights and break when the interface changes between versions.
Your IT team knows your business but not Odoo's ORM, view inheritance, OWL or its upgrade cycle, and hiring a dedicated developer is hard.
New Odoo apps with their own models, menus, views, security groups and workflows, connected to existing partners, products and accounting.
Python models, computed fields, constraints, scheduled actions and queue-style background processing for heavy jobs such as bulk recalculation or imports.
Custom field widgets, client actions, dashboard views and Point of Sale screen extensions built with Odoo's OWL component framework.
Customer, vendor or dealer portal pages and website controllers that reuse Odoo's access control and record rules.
QWeb PDF reports, SQL-backed reporting views for large datasets, and pivot and graph views that management can filter themselves.
A developer or small team working through your backlog on an ongoing basis, with code reviewed and delivered through Git.
New functionality shares customers, products and accounts with the rest of Odoo instead of syncing with yet another tool.
Users learn one interface; new screens follow Odoo's look, navigation and permissions.
Framework-conventional code is easier for any competent Odoo developer to read, support and port.
Development is targeted at real gaps, so the standard Odoo apps keep doing the work they already do well.
Where Odoo's Enterprise Rental app doesn't fit your contracts, or you run Community, rental agreements, availability, deposits and recurring invoices built as an Odoo app on top of inventory and accounting.
Dealers log in to place orders at their pricelist, track deliveries and download invoices, without needing a full Odoo user license for each portal account.
An OWL-based screen showing live work orders by work center, designed for a tablet mounted on the production line.
Student records, fee schedules and enrollment workflows modeled in Odoo and linked to invoicing.
Small increments, a demo after each one, and nothing reaches production without passing review and tests.
We study the requirement, the Odoo version and edition you run, and the modules already installed.
Models, fields and relationships to existing Odoo objects agreed before development begins.
Work split into small, testable increments with a demo point for each one.
Code written in a feature branch following Odoo's guidelines, with peer review before merge.
Automated tests for business logic plus manual testing on a staging copy of your data.
Release to production in an agreed window, with database backup and rollback plan.
Technical notes and user guidance, so the feature can be supported by us or by your own team.
Access rights and record rules apply to new models from the start, rather than being bolted on later.
Portal and website routes check authentication and access, and avoid exposing records through guessable URLs.
Indexes, stored computed fields and batched operations planned for the data volumes you actually have.
Every change is peer reviewed in Git and tested on staging before reaching production.
We use the ORM, inheritance and OWL the way Odoo intends, which keeps your code easier to port between versions.
When a project also needs a mobile app, a public website or a separate API service, the same team can build it.
Business-critical logic gets automated tests so regressions show up before your users find them.
Once the project is paid in full, the source code is handed over in your own repository, with no lock-in to us as a vendor.
Fixed-price packages with the scope written down, paid stage by stage. Your project goes live once it's fully paid.

Odoo development uses Python for the backend and business logic, XML for views and data, and JavaScript with the OWL framework for the web client. Data is stored in PostgreSQL, and reports are written as QWeb templates.
Yes, we can provide Odoo developers who work through your backlog on a continuing basis. Work is tracked as tickets, delivered through Git and reviewed before deployment, so you keep visibility of every change.
Buy if a well-maintained app covers most of your need and its vendor supports your Odoo version; build if the requirement is core to how you operate or the available apps fit poorly. We can review a candidate app's code quality before you commit to it.
Customization adjusts existing Odoo behavior, such as adding fields or changing an approval flow, while development builds new functionality that Odoo does not have. Many projects include both, and our Odoo customization page covers the first in more detail.
You do, once the project is paid in full. Custom modules are then handed over in a repository you control, and you are free to have them maintained by us, your own team or another developer.
Yes, we develop for both editions. If a module depends on an Enterprise-only app, we state that clearly so you know it won't run on Community.
