Broken URLs and lost rankings
Missing or chained redirects turn established pages into 404 errors and waste the authority they earned.
Website Development · Migration
Changing platform, domain or host is mostly invisible when done well. We plan the content transfer, redirects and cut-over so visitors and search engines barely notice the move.
Website migration services are the planned transfer of a website to a new platform, domain, URL structure or hosting environment while keeping its content, data and search visibility intact. A migration includes inventorying every URL, moving content and media, mapping old URLs to new ones with 301 redirects, switching DNS, and checking crawl, indexing and analytics afterwards. It differs from a redesign in that the goal is continuity, not a new look.
Search engines and returning visitors know your site by its URLs. Move to a new CMS or domain without mapping those URLs and the links, bookmarks and rankings built over years point at error pages. Data gets lost too: images that didn't transfer, forms that stopped sending, analytics that went dark on launch day.
Missing or chained redirects turn established pages into 404 errors and waste the authority they earned.
Media, metadata, authors, categories or custom fields don't come across, and pages quietly lose information.
DNS changes, SSL certificates and email records handled in the wrong order take the site, or company email, offline.
Analytics, tag manager and conversion tracking aren't installed on the new site, so you can't tell what changed.
Full crawl and URL inventory, data inventory, risk list and a cut-over plan with rollback steps and timing.
Content, media, users, products and orders moved between platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Odoo Website or a headless CMS.
Rebrands, domain consolidations, HTTP to HTTPS moves and URL restructures with a complete 301 redirect map.
Moving to a new host or cloud environment with files, databases, SSL, caching and email records transferred correctly.
Metadata, canonicals, hreflang, structured data and XML sitemaps carried over, plus Search Console change-of-address where applicable.
Crawl comparison, redirect testing, form and checkout tests, and monitoring of indexing, errors and traffic.
Old links and bookmarks land on the right new pages.
Proper 301 redirects and content parity give rankings the best chance to transfer.
Content, media and records are inventoried and checked, not assumed.
A written cut-over plan with rollback steps reduces surprises.
WordPress to Shopify, WooCommerce to Odoo eCommerce, or a legacy CMS to a headless setup.
Moving every page to a new domain while carrying search signals across with redirects.
Merging regional or product sites into one domain with a clear structure.
Moving to faster or more reliable hosting without changing the site itself.
Every URL is accounted for before anything is switched, and there's a rollback plan if launch day goes wrong.
Crawl the site, export analytics and backlinks, list every URL and data type.
Assign each old URL a new destination and decide what to retire.
New platform, domain or host configured on staging.
Trial migration of content and data, then checks and fixes.
Redirect tests, crawl comparison and functional testing on staging.
Final data sync, DNS change and redirect activation at a low-traffic time.
Track crawl errors, indexing, rankings and conversions over the following weeks.
| Criterion | Platform change | Domain change | Hosting change |
|---|---|---|---|
| URLs change? | Often | Yes, every URL | Usually not |
| Redirect map needed | Yes | Yes, site-wide | Only if structure changes |
| Main risk | Lost content or data | Search signals not transferred | Downtime and email disruption |
| Search Console action | Monitor and resubmit sitemaps | Change of address tool | Monitor crawl errors |
Full backups of the old site and database kept until the migration is signed off.
Access to domains, DNS and hosting shared securely and revoked when no longer needed.
Certificates provisioned on the new environment before traffic is switched.
Target hosting sized and load-tested for your traffic before launch.
We work with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Odoo, headless CMSs and custom code on both sides of a move.
The redirect map is built from crawl, analytics and backlink data, not guesswork.
Our team handles DNS, servers and cloud hosting as well as the website.

A well-executed migration minimizes ranking loss, but no one can guarantee rankings will be unaffected. Temporary fluctuation is common after significant changes. One-to-one 301 redirects, content parity and quick fixing of crawl errors give your site the best chance of recovering fully.
A 301 redirect tells browsers and search engines that a page has moved permanently to a new URL. It sends visitors to the right page and signals search engines to transfer the old URL's standing to the new one.
Yes. We migrate products, variants, images, customers and, where useful, order history between WooCommerce, Shopify and Odoo eCommerce, then set up redirects for product and category URLs. Customer passwords usually can't be transferred between platforms, so customers may need to reset them.
Usually there's little or no visible downtime. The new site is built and tested on staging, and the switch happens through a DNS change planned for a low-traffic period. Stores may pause orders briefly during the final data sync.
It can, if your email is hosted with your web host or DNS records are changed incorrectly. We review MX and other DNS records before cut-over so email keeps working.
