Job cards come back late
Paper forms or photos sent by chat are collected at the end of the week, delaying invoices and losing detail.
Odoo ERP · Field Service
We configure Odoo Field Service so dispatchers plan the day on a map, technicians complete worksheets on their phone, used parts leave the right stock location, and the invoice is ready when the job closes.
Odoo field service implementation is the setup of Odoo Field Service, an Enterprise app for planning and executing work at customer sites, for your technicians and service contracts. It covers job creation from sales or helpdesk, scheduling and routing, mobile worksheets and checklists, time and parts recording, customer signatures, job reports and invoicing, all on the same records as inventory and accounting.
Field work generates information in the worst possible place: a van, a basement or a rooftop. Paper job cards come back days later, parts used on site are never deducted from stock, overtime is disputed, and invoices go out late or incomplete. Odoo Field Service moves the job card onto the technician's phone and connects it to stock and billing, but the worksheets, stock locations and billing rules have to reflect your actual service types.
Paper forms or photos sent by chat are collected at the end of the week, delaying invoices and losing detail.
Parts consumed on site are not recorded, so warehouse stock is wrong and the customer is not charged for materials.
Dispatchers juggle calls and whiteboards to assign jobs, with no view of where technicians are or what they have left today.
Without a signed report, customers dispute whether the visit happened or what was done, and payments are held up.
Field service tasks created from sales orders, helpdesk tickets, maintenance plans or directly by dispatchers, with service products defining how each job type is billed.
Gantt, calendar and map views for dispatchers, with working hours and, where useful, technician skills recorded so dispatchers can assign jobs to people who are qualified and available.
Worksheet templates per job type, such as installation checklists, inspection forms or repair reports, designed with Studio so technicians fill structured data on site.
Products added to the job from the technician's app, consumed from a van or site stock location, and charged to the customer according to the contract.
Timer-based time tracking, customer signature on the device and a job report emailed to the customer when the technician marks the job done.
Time and materials collected on the sales order for invoicing, with follow-up jobs or quotations created when the technician finds more work.
Jobs closed on site carry their time and parts, so invoices can be raised the same day.
Parts used in the field are deducted from the right location, keeping replenishment honest.
Signed reports with photos and readings reduce disputes and support warranty claims.
Dispatchers and billing staff work from structured job data instead of decoding handwritten cards.
Installation and repair jobs dispatched by region, with parts consumed from van stock and invoices built from time and materials.
Preventive maintenance visits scheduled from contracts, with inspection worksheets stored against the customer's equipment.
Site installations with checklists, serial numbers of installed devices and signed handover reports emailed on completion.
Calibration and inspection visits recorded on structured worksheets so service history is available for compliance checks.
A field pilot with real jobs comes before full rollout, so worksheets are proven on site.
We list your installations, repairs, inspections and contract visits, and how each one is priced and documented.
Each job type gets a worksheet with the checks, readings and photos your technicians and customers actually need.
Van and site locations, replenishment from the main warehouse and the rules for charging parts to customers.
Technician skills, working hours, regions and the views dispatchers use to plan and adjust the day.
A small group of technicians runs real jobs on the app so we can fix worksheet friction before everyone switches.
Technician training on the device, dispatcher and billing training in the office, and support during the first live weeks.
Technicians see their own jobs and the customer information needed for the visit, not the full CRM.
Mobile access uses the same Odoo user accounts and passwords or two-factor authentication as the office.
Technicians record consumption but cannot adjust warehouse quantities or valuations.
Signed job reports are attached to the record and kept with the job's history.
Worksheets are tested by your technicians on real jobs so they are short enough to actually be completed.
We configure Inventory and Sales with Field Service so parts and time flow to invoices correctly.
If a job type needs offline capture or a dedicated interface, we can build a companion Flutter app on Odoo's API.
Field Service and Studio are Enterprise; we confirm the edition fits before you commit.
Fixed-price packages with the scope written down, paid stage by stage. Your project goes live once it's fully paid.

No, Field Service is an Odoo Enterprise app, and its custom worksheets rely on Studio, which is also Enterprise. On Community, similar workflows require custom development.
Yes. Technicians use the Odoo mobile app or browser to see their jobs, start a timer, fill worksheets, add parts, collect a signature and mark the job done.
Not fully. Odoo Field Service is designed for connected use, and while recent versions can show some previously loaded data offline, reliable offline job capture and sync is not something to plan around. If your technicians often work without coverage, we can discuss a custom mobile app that stores data offline and syncs to Odoo later.
Technicians add products to the job, which adds them to the related sales order and deducts them from the configured stock location. Whether they are billed depends on the contract and the pricing you set.
Yes. With both apps installed, an agent can plan a field service intervention directly from a ticket, keeping the customer and issue details on the job.
